About the Role
The National Sales Manager – OEM Level position at an Unspecified Employer in Fourways, Gauteng, requires a seasoned automotive professional to lead national sales strategies and drive growth across all regions. The ideal candidate will possess strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and analytical abilities to deliver results-oriented performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement national sales strategies aligned with OEM business goals
- Set clear objectives, targets, and KPIs for regional sales managers and dealer networks
- Drive sales growth, market penetration, and brand presence across all regions
- Monitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy
- Lead, mentor, and support regional sales managers in achieving targets
- Conduct regular dealer business reviews, training, and development sessions
- Implement dealer incentive programs, pricing strategies, and sales campaigns
- Prepare national sales forecasts, budgets, and projections
- Manage pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and incentive structures
- Align sales plans with Marketing, Aftersales, and Supply Chain departments
- Track and report on sales performance, analysing variances and implementing corrective actions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in automotive sales, with at least 5 years in an OEM or head-office automotive environment
- Proven track record in managing national sales teams and dealer networks
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Motor Industry experience
