About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Debtors / Creditors Clerk who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is hard-working, efficient and organised, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring healthy cash flow and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor outstanding accounts and follow up on overdue payments professionally and consistently.
  • Perform regular debtor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Sending monthly debtor statements.
  • Prepare age analysis reports and assist with cash flow forecasting.
  • Capture and process supplier invoices and credit card transactions accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Perform monthly creditor reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Prepare supplier payment schedules and ensure payments are made accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure all banking transactions are captured correctly in the accounting system and maintaining monthly bank reconciliations.
  • International payment processing.
  • Assist with month-end processes, including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve account queries and ensure accurate allocation of costs.
  • Completing Creditor/Debtor vendor applications
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative and reporting tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a debtors and/or creditors role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online will be advantageous, but not compulsory.
  • Excellent administration skills.
  • Organised, detail-oriented and efficient in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.
