Location: Johannesburg (Office-based) Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: Higher base salary personal commission team override (performance-driven) About the Company We are a quantitative AI trading firm operating in the financial markets. We provide investors with access to a fully automated, AI-powered quantitative trading system as part of a data-driven trading service, supported by systematic execution and structured risk management. As part of our international growth, we have recently expanded into South Africa and are building a high-performance local sales organisation focused on investor acquisition and client engagement. Role Overview This is a hands-on sales leadership role for experienced professionals who understand that numbers, discipline, and execution drive results. You will lead a team of online sales representatives responsible for generating leads digitally and converting them into investors. While you will remain capable of closing deals yourself when required, your primary responsibility is to drive team performance, enforce standards, and grow total sales output. This role is not a title-only position. You are expected to lead from the front, coach decisively, and hold people accountable. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and scale a team of online sales representatives Set and enforce daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and sales targets Monitor outreach, follow-ups, pipeline quality, and conversion rates Coach underperforming team members and take corrective action when needed Support and close high-value or complex deals when required Ensure all sales activity follows approved messaging and compliance standards Coordinate and support in-office meetings with prospects to accelerate closing Work closely with the marketing team to align lead generation and conversion Report team performance, pipeline, and results directly to management Requirements (Non-Negotiable): Proven experience in sales leadership or senior sales roles Demonstrated ability to hit sales targets and manage team performance Strong understanding of online sales, lead conversion, and follow-up systems Comfortable discussing financial or investment-related services Confident managing people, performance, and difficult conversations Strong KPI- and data-driven mindset Comfortable working in a structured, monitored, performance-first environment Who This Role Is For Sales leaders who take ownership of results, not excuses Individuals who understand that team success matters more than personal ego Leaders comfortable being both player and coach Professionals motivated by performance-based earnings and long-term growth This Role Is NOT For First-time managers without leadership experience Motivational-only leaders with no sales track record Candidates who want authority without accountability Leaders uncomfortable with targets, performance tracking, or tough decisions Compensation & Growth This role offers: A higher base salary than standard sales roles, reflecting leadership responsibility Personal sales commission when you close deals directly Team override commission based on overall team performance Clear authority and accountability over a growing sales team Opportunity to progress into senior leadership roles as the operation scales Important Note This is a performance-first leadership role.
