Job Summary
Preferably live in Nampula or willing to relocate
Have experience working on Mine Projects in Mozambique
Portuguese first language
English business proficiency
Minimum 10 years’ experience with Mine Projects of which minimum 5 years at a Senior Project Manage Managing multiple projects.
Proven experience in industrial maintenance, plant operations, and mechanical projects, Project Management including Contracts Mines.
Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical Engineering
Project Management Qualification/Certification
Commercial Contracts
Occupational Health and Safety Management
Knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management System);
ISO 14001 (Environmental Management);
ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety).
Strong knowledge of EXCEL, MSP, AUTOCAD/INVENTOR, MICROSOFT OFFICE, and POWERPOINT.
Mozambican ID
Mozambican Driver’s license
Strong technical knowledge in mechanical engineering for high-level discussions with clients.
Solid experience in project management, including planning, execution, and reporting.
Excellence in budget management and financial control of projects.
Experience in contract management and supplier relations.
Knowledge of industry safety and quality standards.
Familiarity with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP).
Main Responsibilities (Summary of Function Objectives)
Manage the SP001 contract efficiently, ensuring strategic objectives are met, focusing on safety, quality, cost, and deadlines.
Ensure the efficient execution of mechanical and maintenance projects by correctly allocating resources, controlling budgets, and monitoring contract KPIs.
Lead the technical and operational management, ensuring compliance with industry standards and fully meeting client expectations.
Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, ensuring Purchase Orders (POs) are fulfilled according to established standards.
Promote effective communication with Kenmare and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and strategic alignment in all project phases.
Project Planning and Execution
Supervise mechanical and maintenance projects, ensuring efficient execution as planned.
Develop project plans, allocate resources, and ensure compliance with deadlines and budgets.
Monitor project deliverables and provide regular progress reports to management and stakeholders.
Technical and Engineering Supervision
Act as the technical liaison between the company and Kenmare, ensuring customer requirements are understood and met.
Participate in technical discussions regarding Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and ensure project scope aligns with client expectations.
Ensure quality control in all engineering and maintenance activities, following industry standards.
Resource Management and Budget Control
Properly allocate resources for different projects, ensuring operational efficiency.
Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring financial efficiency without compromising quality and safety.
Prepare financial reports on project expenses and cost control measures.
Contract Management and Compliance
Monitor and manage the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of the contracts.
Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are executed within acceptable industry and client standards.
Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and regulatory requirements.
Client and Stakeholder Relations
Act as the primary contact for client interactions regarding projects.
Engage in technical discussions with Kenmare on engineering solutions, maintenance strategies, and RFQs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Management and Problem Resolution
Identify potential risks that may affect projects and implement mitigation strategies.
Solve technical and operational challenges, ensuring effective solutions to potential problems.
Team Leadership and Development
Lead and guide the project team, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
Develop and implement training programs to improve team competence in project execution.
Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in operations.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
