Job Summary

Description:
Hire Resolve’s Client is currently looking for a SHE Controller to join their mining company based in the Northern Cape.

Responsibilities:

Oversee adherence to safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and procedures, perform internal assessments, and take action to address any areas of non-compliance.
Participate in or lead investigations into incidents, ensure underlying causes are identified and resolved, and follow up on the implementation and closure of corrective measures.
Monitor training completion against established requirements and contribute to ongoing induction sessions and awareness programs related to SHE.
Support compliance with environmental regulations and standards (such as ISO 14001) by integrating environmental considerations into audits and risk evaluations.
Collaborate with operational teams, contractors, and safety personnel to encourage joint ownership of SHE responsibilities and assist in delivering key safety messages and initiatives.
Prepare relevant SHE documentation and reports, manage records, and help provide the tools and support needed to uphold SHE performance and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

Grade 12
National Diploma in Safety Management or equivalent
SAMTRAC/COMSOC 1 & 2
5 years’ experience in a Safety-related position
SHE Systems Auditor Certification (OHSAS / ISO).
Incident Investigation Course (ICAM).
Legal Liability Certificate
Valid Driver’s License
