Bela Bela: Luxury Lodge Executive Sous Chef | Live-in Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our luxury lodge in Bela Bela. As part of our live-in team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional cuisine, maintaining kitchen standards, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This is a unique opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in high-end hospitality environments.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Head Chef in delivering exceptional cuisine and maintaining kitchen standards
Mentor and lead the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations
Implement menu planning, inventory management, and cost control procedures
Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety
Collaborate with the Head Chef to create menus that meet guest expectations

Requirements

Proven 5-star kitchen experience in a fast-paced luxury environment
Strong culinary skills and attention to detail
Leadership and team mentoring ability
Organised, proactive, and guest-focused approach to work

Qualifications

Proven culinary training or certification (e.g., WSET, CMC)

Salary & Benefits

R23,000 – R25,000 per annum, depending on experience
