Job Description
– Manage internal & external driver training programmes
– Manage all administrative function related to driver training
– Plan and execute training schedules at various depots
– Ensure all drivers are fully competent prior to entering the field
– Develop electronic training material and videos
– Manage and development of driver performance
– Reporting on Training and Assessments conducted
– Conduct site and route assessments
– Create Power Point Presentations for drivers
– Travel with drivers for on route assessments/training
– Travel to different depots outside of your region for training purposes
– Manage Lytx Driver Management platform to identify training needs
– Allocate LMS Training based on individual training needs identified
– Attend and conduct Toolbox Talks with drivers
– Action driver coaching and corrective action
– Manage all driver training and development (self-drive & carrier work)
QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
– Minimum Gr. 12
– Computer literacy
– Previous Training experience will be advantageous
– Medically fit
– Ability to work with technology ā Driver assessments done via an electronic platform
– Valid Code EC License with PrDP
– Experience in the transport industry will be advantageous
– Excellent communication skills – both verbally and writing
– Sound general mechanical knowledge of trucks & trailers
– Must have own transport
– Assessor Certificate
– Moderator Certificate
– Facilitator Certificate
– Minimum of 3 years long distance HCV driving experience
– Extensive geographical knowledge
