Job Summary
Are you a numbers-driven professional with a keen eye for detail and a passion for accuracy? We’re looking for a Junior Accountant to join our team someone whos proactive, methodical, completed their articles and ready to grow within a fast-paced and ambitious environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full monthly accounting processing, including debtors, creditors, bank accounts, and inter-company transactions
- Monthly reconciliations of all balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Maintain and manage full fixed asset registers
- Update investor accounts, perform monthly interest calculations, and circulate statements as required
- Prepare and submit monthly/bi-monthly VAT reconciliations and returns
- Handle month-end and year-end journal entries and assist in the year-end audit process
- Compile monthly cash flow forecasts to ensure payment obligations are met

- Excellent communication skills in both English and Afrikaans
- A sharp mind for numbers and reconciliation
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams)
- A detail-oriented, accurate, and methodical working style
- A self-starter who is proactive, independent, and committed to deadlines
- Strong integrity, confidentiality, and a results-oriented mindset
- A team player who is approachable and open to feedback
- The ability to build rapport at all levels and communicate financial information clearly
- Given the current team composition and office environment, candidates within the 25 35 age range are likely to integrate seamlessly into the role.
