Job Description

Our client, at the forefront of South African banking, is calling for Salesforce enthusiasts to join us in a vital role that will carve their path forward. As a Domain Architect you will provide strategic direction to technical teams across the Salesforce platform, responsible for the full product lifecycle and Salesforce ecosystem to ensure they build and grow a robust Salesforce platform and oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation and innovation. The role spans across the CRM (Salesforce FSC) as well as the Credit Loan Management System (nCino) Delivery teams as both an advisory and governance function. Key responsibilities: Development Leadership: Set the 3 5-year strategic direction for the development of the Salesforce platform to enable business delivery and value. Lead the design and development of custom solutions within the Salesforce platform, including Apex code, Lightning components, and integrations with external systems. Platform Management: Oversee the daily operations of the Salesforce platform, ensuring its performance, security, and reliability. Embed mechanisms to ensure proper governance and org health. Participate in the Technical Design Authority (TDA) playing a lead role to ensure org and platform health, setting delivery standards as well as a framework or blueprint for all Product teams, vendors and contractors on the Salesforce platform. Drive remediation efforts to ensure and restore platform health. Partnerships: Identify relevant solutions and best-suited partnerships across the Salesforce ecosystem to meet business requirements and develop business cases as well as delivery plans to realise business benefits. System Integration: Oversee the integration of Salesforce with other business systems, ensuring seamless data flow and process automation. Develop integration roadmaps as well as patterns to maximise the Salesforce platform. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Salesforce specialists (Release Engineer, System Architect and Configuration Analyst), providing guidance and support. Project Management: Plan, execute, and oversee Salesforce platform development projects to build organisational capabilities. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements. Best Practices: Establish and enforce Salesforce best practices, development standards, and security protocols. Continuous Improvement: Stay current with Salesforce releases, new features, and best practices, and implement improvements to the platform as needed. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of the Salesforce environment, including architecture, processes, and custom development. Qualifications (Minimum) Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. 5 – 10 years working as a Salesforce Technical Expert with relevant Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Application Architect and other Architecture Certifications) are highly desirable. Proficient in Salesforce development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning), integration (APIs, middleware), and administration. Strong understanding of Salesforce data modeling, security, and performance optimization. Experience with DevSecOps. Project Management: Experience in managing large-scale Salesforce projects, including planning, execution, and delivery. Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, manage performance, and foster a collaborative work environment. Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred) Certifications in AWS Architecture Salesforce FSC Specialist Certification nCino Certifications and Data Cloud Should you not receive a response from us within one week of your application, your application has unfortunately not been successful.
