Job Summary

Main objective of the position and Tasks Description (not limited) Within the Administration & Finance team in Cape Town, reporting to the Country Finance Responsible, the Financial Controller is in charge of the standardization, simplification, and automation of Controlling for the Business Line. Main responsibilities: • Manage financial statements; • Build monthly financial accounting, reporting and close process; • Develop cost control and reporting; • Make IFRS adjustments and reporting; • Track and forecast cashflow: o Coordinate the budget process within BLs; o Perform analytical reviews of the monthly operating results and help to ensure understanding and accuracy of reports; o Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of the income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations, and G/L analysis; o Analyze and report, including on intangible assets and production (half-yearly and yearly); o Monitor and Perform > consolidation & benchmarking of the country numbers, risk review (CAPEX/OPEX, margin recognition, and project status and progress); • Ensure the homogenization of the rules and the standardization of the KPI and Business Lines reporting’s, while bringing a diverse technical expertise; • Drive improvement projects and tools automation/optimization; • Define and execute relevant and reliable KPI to enable the management of the BLs; • Mid-term analysis of IPP and DEV performance and benchmarking with competitors; • Implement engaging presentations to inform and enable decision-making (QBR for instance); • Ad hoc analysis; • Support the Finance & Administration team on daily accounting tasks. Education and Technical Skill Level (academic degree, experience, courses, habilitations, language, …) • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; • SAICA or SAIPA articles required; • 5 years of experience in a similar role; • Significant experience in cost controlling and budget vs actual monitoring; • Experience in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting skills; • Knowledge and experience in IFRS; • Solid understanding of project cost control/ analysis, budget, and forecasting; • Experience with multi-national & multi-currency companies; • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Accounting Systems and BI Applications; • Proficiency with a consolidation software (HFM) would be highly appreciated. Job Summary

Key Responsibilities: Implement the finance strategy across all departments, ensuring alignment with the estate’s overall business goals. Develop, monitor, and control budgets, providing regular reports and analysis to the CFO and other stakeholders. Analyse and control costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements. Assist in capital allocation decisions and manage the estate’s assets to maximize returns and ensure proper maintenance. Manage the estate’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity to meet operational needs. Oversee and manage all accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Perform regular reconciliations of all estate bank statements and credit card transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist in the management of financial risk and compliance, ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements, including SARS. Manage and control all tax-related matters, ensuring compliance with local tax laws and regulations. Prepare for and coordinate all external audits, ensuring all financial records and documentation are accurate and readily available. Oversee financial administration and systems, and manage ad hoc projects as required to support the estate’s financial objectives. Manage all day-to-day finance operations, working closely with the finance team and CFO to ensure smooth and efficient financial management. Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, and/or a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA) is highly desirable. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 5 years in a senior financial accounting role. Experience in the wine industry or a similar high-end consumer goods sector is preferred. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a finance team. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.

Job Summary

Internal Controls Ensure accurate reconciliation across payment channels, automate reconciliation processes, and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance Financial Reporting Oversee financial reporting cycles, monitor key metrics, and provide insights to support decision-making while ensuring compliance with accounting standards Cash Flow Management Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and funding strategies to maintain liquidity and optimize costs Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement Tax & Compliance Ensure compliance with tax regulations across jurisdictions, oversee tax filings, and lead external audits Additional Support Assist with fundraising, investor relations, M&A activities, and provide financial insights for strategic initiatives Skills & Experience: Registered with a professional body ie.
