A distinguished establishment in the Foreshore area of Cape Town is seeking a skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join its kitchen brigade. This role offers an excellent platform for a motivated chef to take responsibility for a section of the kitchen and ensure high-quality dishes are consistently delivered. Duties and Responsibilities: Take charge of a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared to specification Prepare, cook, and present menu items according to recipes and quality standards Assist in the development and training of junior chefs in the section Ensure mise-en-place is completed ahead of each service Monitor portion control, consistency, and presentation standards Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation within the section Assist with stock management, rotation, and wastage control Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service Uphold all food safety and hygiene regulations within the kitchen environment Report maintenance and equipment issues promptly Requirements: Previous experience as a CDP in a professional kitchen environment Culinary qualification advantageous Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations Ability to remain calm and efficient during high-pressure service times Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays High standards of personal hygiene and presentation To apply, please upload a copy of your updated CV and recent profile photo along with any written or telephonic reference.
