Hotel GENERAL MANAGER VACANCY Location: Cape Town, Western Cape Type of Property: 4-Star Luxury Boutique Hotel Salary: R43,750 per month (Negotiable, DOE) Live-Out Role – Candidates must have their own reliable transport & ideally reside in the Cape Town area About the Position We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead a vibrant luxury city hotel in Cape Town. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, a proven track record in hotel management, and the ability to drive operational excellence while ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership : Oversee all hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, and Guest Services. Guest Experience : Ensure service excellence across all guest touchpoints, maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism. Staff Management : Lead, motivate, and mentor the team, fostering a positive work environment with strong service culture. Financial Oversight : Manage budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure profitability while upholding brand standards. Strategic Planning : Work with the executive team to implement strategies for growth, guest satisfaction, and competitive positioning. Compliance & Standards : Ensure adherence to health & safety, labour law requirements, and operational policies. Stakeholder Engagement : Build strong relationships with owners, key partners, and industry networks. Requirements & Qualifications Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in a senior management role within a 4* or 5* hotel environment. Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent preferred. Proven ability to manage multi-departmental hotel operations effectively. Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a diverse team. Guest-centric mindset with a passion for service excellence. Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Cape Town with reliable transport. Package & Benefits Salary: R40,000 per month (Negotiable depending on experience).
