Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities: Warehouse Management: Operations Oversight: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and shipping/receiving activities. Implement and enforce best practices for warehouse processes, including inventory accuracy and order processing efficiency. Staff Management: Supervise and lead warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure staff are properly trained in warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment use. Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts or overstock situations. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies. Safety and Compliance: Ensure warehouse operations comply with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards. Conduct safety training, enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and manage emergency procedures. Facilities Management: Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee the maintenance and repair of facility infrastructure, including HVAC systems, lighting, plumbing, and electrical systems. Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance. Facility Upkeep: Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and in good repair. Manage janitorial services and coordinate regular cleaning and maintenance schedules. Space Utilization: Optimize the layout and use of warehouse space to improve workflow and storage efficiency. Plan and manage facility layout changes or expansions as needed. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure facility operations comply with environmental regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards. Maintain necessary documentation and records related to facility management. Administrative Duties: Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for warehouse operations and facility maintenance. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible. Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse and facility performance, including inventory levels, maintenance activities, and staff performance. Analyse operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with suppliers, service providers, and contractors. Negotiate contracts and ensure service levels meet company standards.
