About the Role
We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our 4-star guesthouse in Colchester, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing high-performing teams and driving profitability in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the guesthouse
- Oversee staff performance and provide coaching and training as needed
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new guests
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a 4-star or higher guesthouse (minimum of 2 years)
- Strong knowledge of PMS and POS Systems
- Strong computer literacy and administrative skills, esp. Excel
- Financial acumen and ability to cost properly and maximize profitability
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle pressure
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a 4-star or higher guesthouse (minimum of 2 years)
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month. Performance Bonus Accommodation (House). Company car Travel Perks Medical Insurance coverage. Provident Fund contributions.
