Junior HR & Payroll Assistant
Duties: HR Administration: Maintaining personnel records and managing HR documents (e.g., employment records and onboarding guides). Assisting with HR administrative tasks. Supporting the HR department with daily tasks. Organizing and maintaining personnel records. Screening and reviewing resumes and applications. Payroll Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. Verifying employee working hours and ensuring accurate payroll data. Collecting and reconciling employee working hours for payroll processing. Processing payroll data and supporting documents. Addressing employee queries related to payroll discrepancies. General Duties: Acting as the first point of contact for payroll and HR-related queries from employees and external partners. Ensuring compliance with relevant labour laws and statutory requirements. Providing relevant employee information (e.g., leaves of absence, sick days, and work schedules). Updating internal databases. Requirements: Grade 12 Formal HR / Payroll qualification Experience in HR & Payroll Hospitality experience would be an advantage Good computer knowledge Comfortable working on Excel spreadsheets Able to meet critical deadlines Extremely accurate Willing to learn Able to speak and understand numerous different local languages including English. Afrikaans is an advantage. Own transport and a valid drivers license would be an advantage Local candidate preferred
