Key Responsibilities: Strategic Financial Insights and Planning : Lead the development and implementation of efficient financial planning solutions to provide reliable data for informed decision-making. Financial Modelling and Forecasting : Create and manage financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning, utilizing appropriate methodologies to minimize budget variances. Finance Analytics Strategy : Contribute to the formulation and execution of the organization’s finance analytics and planning strategy. Business Requirements Translation : Convert financial and operational business requirements into detailed system design specifications to support the development of robust solutions. Reporting and Visualization : Develop and design insightful A4O reports using data in BPC to address key business questions. Data Model Management : Oversee finance analytics data models and provide guidance on necessary modifications to maintain accuracy and relevance. Data Integrity and Self-Service Reporting : Enhance data integrity and visibility through standardized reporting and promoting self-service capabilities. Analytics and Reporting Requirements Analysis : Evaluate business needs for new analytics and reports to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. System Architecture Oversight : Provide strategic guidance on system architecture and design across the finance landscape. System Maintenance Planning : Review and plan for system maintenance activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT). System Support and Training : Offer system support and conduct training sessions for reporting and dashboard tools. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication : Foster effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders to understand and address their needs. Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) or Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) qualification (preferred): Holding a CA(SA) or CIMA designation demonstrates a high level of expertise in accounting and financial management. Honours Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business : An advanced degree in these fields provides a solid foundation in financial principles and business operations. Experience with Financial Planning Systems : Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) tools is essential for budgeting, forecasting, and supporting strategic business decisions. Experience with Financial Data and Reporting Systems : Ability to manage and analyse financial data using reporting systems to generate insights and support decision-making. Experience with SAP ERP Systems : Familiarity with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is valuable for streamlining processes and improving productivity across the organization. Management Reporting Experience in the Retail Sector (advantageous): Experience in creating and analyzing management reports within the retail industry is beneficial for evaluating store performance and making informed decisions.
