Responsibilities:
Develop and implement herd health protocols to prevent and manage diseases. Conduct routine health checks, diagnostics, and treatments. Monitor feedlot conditions to ensure a healthy and safe environment for livestock. Collaborate with farm managers and staff to optimize livestock performance. Oversee vaccination programs and implement biosecurity measures. Provide training and guidance to feedlot staff on best practices for animal handling and welfare. Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Analyze health data to identify trends and recommend solutions for improving herd performance. What We Are Looking For Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent. Proven experience working with livestock, particularly in a feedlot or similar agricultural setting. Strong understanding of animal nutrition, reproduction, and disease prevention. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and biosecurity protocols in the livestock industry. Strong communication and leadership skills to engage effectively with farm staff and stakeholders.
