Durban: Data Engineer

What Youll Do: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes Build infrastructure to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources Create analytical tools to provide insights into key performance metrics Drive improvements for scalability, automation, and process efficiency Maintain data integrity, consistency, and security across all systems What You Bring: 57 years experience in database management, data engineering, or similar roles Bachelors in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or Scala Experience with relational (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases Hands-on with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools (Spark, Databricks, Hive) Knowledge of stream processing tools like Kafka, Spark Streaming, or Flink Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), CI/CD, and ML workflows/MLOps Understanding of data modeling, governance, cleansing, and de-duplication
