About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Raw Materials Store Manager to lead our offsite raw materials store, including secondary packaging and divider cleaning. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in the FMCG supply chain environment, with a strong understanding of SAP and the plastics and packaging industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall supervision of offsite Raw Materials Store, including secondary packaging and divider cleaning
- Batch and FIFO all material, including cataloging regrind and issuing oldest bags first
- Overseeing the Goods Returns process for secondary packaging
- Return from customer Inspections for damages and scrap
- Notify business of damages
- Identifying control risks and implementing measures to mitigate or eliminate risk (e.g. stock counts, stock movements, processes)
- Supplying main site secondary packaging and ensuring that all requirements are distributed on time
- Conducting weekly, monthly and yearly stock takes, including unplanned spot checks on stock
- Receipting and administration of raw materials stock, transactions through SAP
- Overseeing divider cleaning and ensuring sufficient dividers are available to the business
- Responsible for stock variances in raw materials and packaging
- Incoming inspection checks for packaging, when required ensuring specifications are met
Requirements
- Be in possession of a post Matric qualification in supply chain or relevant qualification
- Proven track record in the FMCG supply chain environment
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous
- Computer literacy, Excel, Word, Outlook
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of attention detail and accuracy
