About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Lodge Operations Manager to join the leadership team of a luxury safari lodge in the Sabi Sand. This role will oversee all guest-facing and operational departments, ensuring the seamless delivery of world-class hospitality while driving efficiency, profitability, and team performance. As a senior leader, the Operations Manager will work closely with the General Manager, departmental heads, and support teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily performance of all lodge operations, including Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Guest Services, and Guides.
- Support and mentor Heads of Department (HODs) to meet operational, service, and financial goals.
- Act as second-in-command, assuming full responsibility in the General Manager’s absence.
Requirements
- Strong leadership track record managing multi-departmental teams.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgets, forecasting, and inventory control.
- Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in luxury lodge operations/senior management, ideally at 5★ level.
- Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management (preferred).
