About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operator to join our team at The Building Company in Emalahleni. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring that timber and boards are accurately cut to meet customer requirements, providing prompt and efficient service, and maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Maintenance: Adjust machine settings, regulate speed of the machine belt, and correct temperature.
• Feeding material into the machine and regulating its operation.
• Attending to customers, loading their vehicles, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Correct edge trimming and sanding, as well as performing other operator functions.
• Maintaining a clean and organized cutting area, reporting stock shortages, and adhering to safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• 1-year industrial experience in a similar role
• Good people skills and admin and numeracy abilities

Qualifications

• Completed Matric certificate (if applicable)
