Key Responsibilities: Develop short-term (annual budget) and long-term (life-of-mine) financial models. Conduct bench-marking and process analysis in collaboration with operational teams. Analyze and update financial data, including budgets, income statements, and forecasts. Identify trends, assess risks, and provide insights to optimize business performance. Structure reports on financial status and risk to support key decision-making. Maintain and refine financial models to align with investor and financing requirements. Assist with strategic planning, investment decisions, and business development initiatives. Work closely with senior stakeholders, including investors, financiers, and government agencies. What You Need to Succeed: Mandatory Qualifications: BSc Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Proven experience as a Financial Analyst or Financial Modeller with strong forecasting skills. In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, taxation, and mining-related financial matters. Strong analytical skills with a sharp eye for accuracy and numerical proficiency. Preferred Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor of Business Science (BBusSc) or BCom in Financial Mathematics, Accounting, or Statistics. Background in project and infrastructure finance , particularly in the mining industry. 7 years of financial modelling experience, ideally in mining. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for complex financial analysis. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive, independent work approach.
