Situated in the heart of the Franschhoek Winelands, this beautiful luxury boutique hotel offers magnificent accommodation with international standards comprising private suites, villa and manor house rooms surrounded by breath-taking mountains and vineyards. ProStaffSelect are in search of a skilled and experienced FRONT OFFICE DUTY MANAGER / GUEST RELATIONS OFFICER to take on responsibilities for daily operations and to oversee Front Desk Reception, Reservations, Concierge, Guest Relations, Admin & Finance. REQUIREMENTS: × At least 4 – 5 years relevant experience within a luxury hotel environment (other industries will not be considered) × Hotel / Hospitality Management qualification or similar managerial training is essential × Valid SA driver’s license essential × Fully bilingual in English & Afrikaans (Afrikaans mother tongue ideally) × Protel PMS Front Office Systems knowledge essential SKILLS REQUIRED: × Knowledge of front of house, financial and billing procedures × Excellent communication skills – with guests and fellow staff members × Computer Literate: Microsoft Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Outlook; Pastel × Good organizational and interpersonal skills × Strong problem-solving skills; ability to make decisions quickly, adapt to changing circumstances, and find effective solutions to issues that may arise × Lateral thinking ability with effective leadership & management skills, a team player who leads by example × Exceptional attention to detail and levels of accuracy and someone who takes initiative × A candidate who is able to lead others, motivate staff and change staff attitudes × Strong personality and negotiation skills × Professional, courteous, hospitable to guests × Must be able to cope under pressure to meet guests needs × Honest, proactive and driven personality × Evening duties often required to cover for guest arrivals as well as meeting with corporate clients & wedding clients × Candidates need to have strong admin and control skills
