About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and professional Sous Chef to join a luxury guest farm in Franschhoek, Western Cape. This role offers the opportunity to work in a high-end, open-plan kitchen environment with a strong emphasis on professionalism and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Head Chef with menu planning and execution
- Supervise and train junior staff members
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies
- Participate in kitchen maintenance and cleaning duties
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years experience in professional kitchens
- Formal culinary training
- Open-minded and adaptable approach
- Understanding of traditional kitchen hierarchy must follow instructions from the Head Chef
- Respectful and professional in an open-plan kitchen environment
Qualifications
- Completed formal culinary training
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R25,000 – R30,000 per month (negotiable depending on experience). Additional benefits include transportation provided to and from Paarl, and within Franschhoek.
