Job Summary
A leading professional services firm is seeking an Analytical Specialist to join their Technical Services division. The ideal candidate will possess a balance of statistical acumen, technical curiosity, and the ability to communicate findings clearly. This role will suit someone who is methodical, inquisitive, and thrives in a high-performance environment.

Duties:
- Perform structured and ad hoc data analysis to support internal projects and client deliverables.
- Work closely with IT and audit teams to gather, clean, and interpret datasets.
- Document analytical processes, results, and key findings with precision.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and risks through in-depth statistical and visual analysis.
- Contribute to the design and automation of analytical procedures and reports.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior team members in data techniques and tools.
- Support audit or IT audit teams with data-driven insights when required.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and align analysis accordingly.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in data analysis.
- Exposure to Python and/or R is advantageous.
- Experience in IT auditing is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong analytical and lateral thinking capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Highly organised, reliable, and deadline oriented.
- Self-driven, enthusiastic, and capable of independent work.
- Demonstrates integrity and professional discretion.
- Effective time management and task prioritisation under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to work collaboratively across teams.
- Leadership, mentoring, and client-facing ability.
- Comfortable providing training and guidance to others.
- Adaptable and able to handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
