Job Summary
Minimum Requirements:
- Qualifications: B.Eng., BSc Eng, or National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or a closely related discipline)
- Experience:
- Experience in Applications Engineering will be advantageous, though not essential
- Practical exposure during studies in industries such as Automotive Manufacturing, Aerospace, Marine, or Industrial Equipment is beneficial
Key Skills & Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g. CATIA, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Inventor, CREO, etc.)
- Familiarity with 2D drafting tools (e.g. AutoCAD, GstarCAD, DraftSight)
- Understanding of PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) principles
- Basic knowledge of VR/AR technologies
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Key Responsibilities:
- Recommend, demonstrate, and support engineering software solutions (CATIA, DELMIA, ENOVIA, 3DEXPERIENCE)
- Provide training to clients, both online and on-site
- Assist with software implementation and post-sales support
- Design components or assemblies using 3D CAD tools as required
- Manage and support client technicians when needed
- Log all client communications using a CRM system
- Deliver technical demonstrations and support for software features
Additional Requirements:
- Willing to undergo product certification upon completion of probation
- National and occasional international travel may be required
- Must have a valid passport or be willing to obtain one
- Full, clean driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- No criminal record
