Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimise cloud-based environments.
- Ensure security best practices are followed for cloud platforms, containers, and networks.
- Collaborate with developers to improve deployment efficiency and system reliability.
- Manage and scale cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting solutions to enhance system visibility.
- Optimise cost, performance, and scalability of cloud services and containerized applications.
Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Honour’s degree in related field will be advantageous.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, or Terraform are a plus.
Experience:
- 3+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD).
- Hands-on experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Proficiency in containerisation & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi).
- Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong scripting & automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go).
- Deep understanding of Linux & Windows server
- Knowledge of networking, security best practices, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
