About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Engineer to oversee, install, maintain, and manage HVAC systems within a mining environment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project management responsibility, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with mining and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and execute HVAC projects on mining sites from initiation to completion
Install, commission, maintain, and repair industrial HVAC systems
Supervise contractors and site technicians
Ensure compliance with mining safety regulations and company standards
Manage project schedules, budgets, and materials
Conduct inspections, fault finding, and preventative maintenance
Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and documentation
Liaise with engineering, operations, and safety teams

Requirements

Trade qualification in HVAC / Refrigeration / Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in mining, industrial, or remote-site HVAC environments
Strong project management experience (formal certification advantageous)
Knowledge of mine safety standards and permit systems
Ability to work in remote or FIFO environments (if applicable)
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license (and relevant site certifications)
