About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Medical Receptionist to join our dynamic team at Diagnostic Radiological Services Inc. in Gauteng. As a Locum/Part-time Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our team. With a focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement, we offer a supportive environment that fosters growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Acknowledge all patients with warmth and friendliness, showing empathy where needed
- Capture all patient info correctly, checking info as you type (must be able to capture at least 6 patients per hour)
- Check medical aid benefits
- Quote for all exams and take co-payments/short payments by medical aids
- Ensure you understand and follow the protocol for emergency patients, ensure terms and conditions are signed
- Book patients for CT & MRI scans and provide prep info for CT & MRI exams
- Obtain Authorization for all examinations
- Process payments for all private patients, walk-in or in-hospital patients, allocate payments to correct invoices
- Obtain and scan in all relevant WCA documents for workplace injuries/diseases
- Scan and attach all relevant documents to the correct patient profile
- Resolve telephonic enquiries
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in a professional high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of medical aid and PMB rules will be beneficial
- Knowledge of the POPI Act regulations for healthcare will be beneficial
- Willing to travel, own reliable transport, non-negotiable
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Intermediate
