About the Role: As the Nursery Production Manager , you will be responsible for leading a large team in the execution of day-to-day nursery operations. Youll collaborate closely with multiple managers and technicians to ensure strategic staff deployment, task completion, and production efficiency within a high-paced, high-volume environment. Key

Responsibilities:

Manage a team of approximately 180 staff, including daily task planning and productivity tracking. Allocate resources based on weekly schedules from various departments to ensure operational efficiency. Oversee task execution via a labour planning portal, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Enforce health and safety standards, manage staff discipline, and support a positive work environment. Collaborate with management and technicians to align staffing with operational priorities. Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce delays. Communicate progress, challenges, and performance updates regularly across departments.

Requirements:

Education: Tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Production Management, or a related field Experience: 35 years in nursery production or a similar operational role Skills: Strong leadership and staff coordination skills Competence in labour planning and resource management Familiarity with digital tools for task management and reporting Excellent communication skills in English (Afrikaans and Xhosa advantageous) Drivers Licence: Valid Code 8 Additional Information: This role includes physical tasks such as lifting and working outdoors in varying weather conditions Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak periods You will be expected to be on call for urgent operational matters outside regular hours Apply Now To apply, please contact: Nandi Calitz Email:
