Job Summary
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking a Chef de Partie or Senior Chef de Partie for a luxury game lodge situated in the prestigious Sabi Sands region. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and creative culinary professional to join a high-end hospitality team in one of South Africas top safari destinations.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Prepare and present high-quality dishes in line with lodge standards
-
Contribute to menu planning, incorporating seasonal and locally sourced produce
-
Ensure consistent taste, quality, and visual presentation of all meals
-
Support the Head Chef and kitchen team in daily operations
-
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
-
Assist with mentoring junior kitchen staff and uphold food safety practices
Candidate Requirements:
-
Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role within a luxury lodge or hospitality environment
-
Recognised culinary qualification
-
Strong knowledge of contemporary cooking techniques and food trends
-
Creative flair with a keen eye for food styling and presentation
-
Excellent taste and flavour pairing expertise
-
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
-
Own transport and residence in the local area essential
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
