Job Description

Reception Manager – Luxury Lodge – Hoedspruit Negotiable DOE | Live In Kendrick Recruitment is currently recruiting for a luxury lodge based in Hoedspruit. Our client is seeking an experienced Reception Manager with strong front office and hospitality management skills, committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities • Maintain a positive attitude and friendly demeanour • Welcome guests on arrival and manage check-outs • Manage incoming calls and respond to all guest questions and requests • Accept payments and perform other administrative duties • Prioritise and manage tasks independently with good planning and organisational skills • Be proactive, use initiative, and apply creative flair when required • Oversee reception and front office operations, ensuring high standards are maintained Requirements • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end safari lodge or hotel • Matric / Grade 12; Diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management beneficial • Excellent reception and front office control skills • Exceptional customer service skills, including the ability to handle difficult situations professionally • Strong understanding of lodge operations and attention to detail • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Computer literate (MS Office Suite, reservation systems, POS systems, financial systems) • Strong financial acumen and knowledge of procedures • Experience with stock control • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and public holidays Package Details • Monthly package – market-related depending on experience and qualifications • Accommodation and laundry provided • Work cycle – 3 weeks on, 1 week off • 15 days annual leave
