Linbro Park, Johannesburg: QUALIFIED DIESEL MECHANIC
Minimum Requirements:
-Reliable male with sober habits
-Qualified Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal qualification obtained) a must
-Recent experience as a diesel mechanic a must (not apprentice experience), specifically in a transport or logistics work environment
-Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems, and strong understanding of diesel engine systems
-Experience in repairing and maintaining large commercial vehicles, including trucks and trailers.
-Able to use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues.
-Strong problem-solving skills and able to work under pressure.
-Valid driver’s license, with a clean driving record.
-Own reliable transport to work
-Willing and able to work overtime and be on standby as required.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
-Excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
-Residing within daily commuting distance from Linbro Park, Sandton
-No lawful termination at any previous employer due to misconduct or non performance
-Stable employment record and contactable employment references a must
-To start as soon as possible
Duties:
-Full Diesel Mechanic duties for transport & logistics company (Fleet of trucks and vehicles)
-Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance services on diesel engines and related components.
-Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and machinery to ensure proper operation.
-Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and provide solutions for repair.
-Replace faulty components, such as fuel pumps, filters, and turbochargers.
-Ensure all repairs comply with safety and regulatory standards.
-Maintain a clean and organized work area.
-Keep accurate records of maintenance work and parts used.
-Respond to breakdowns and provide on-site repairs when necessary.
-Work effectively with the team to ensure timely vehicle repairs and minimize downtime.
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
