FIELD GUIDE TRAINER | 5-STAR SAFARI LODGE – MARAKELE NATIONAL PARK
WILCON Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious 5-star safari lodge located in the breathtaking Marakele National Park. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Guide Trainer to support the guiding department in maintaining exceptional standards and developing the next generation of field guides. This is a unique opportunity for a skilled professional with a passion for wildlife, mentorship, and guest engagement to contribute meaningfully within a luxury safari environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Facilitate field guide training and assessments to FGASA standards.
– Structure and update course content and materials.
– Mentor and support students throughout their training.
– Conduct lectures, game drives, walks, and rifle training.
– Ensure compliance with FGASA, CATHSSETA, and safety regulations.
– Maintain training equipment, rifles, and vehicles.
– Oversee campus upkeep and presentation.
– Compile reports, scorecards, and student assessments.
– Provide content for social media and student engagement.
REQUIREMENTS:
Min 5 yrs bush experience, FGASA NQF4 Trails Guide, ARH, First Aid L2, PRDP, MS Office, training exp. Adv: Senior Guide, Qualified Facilitator/FGASA Assessor, Range Officer, Grade 12 essential.
