As the AWS DevOps Engineer, you will take ownership of designing, implementing, and optimising cloud infrastructure on AWS to support mission-critical healthcare applications. What You’ll Do Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure for healthcare applications and services. Implement and enforce security measures and best practices to ensure compliance and protect sensitive patient data. Collaborate closely with software development teams to automate build, deployment, and release processes using AWS tools and CI/CD pipelines. Optimise AWS resources, including cost, performance, and reliability, and proactively monitor system health and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, applications, and network connectivity in production and non-production environments. Create and maintain clear documentation for infrastructure configuration, deployment patterns, installation, and troubleshooting procedures. Stay current with AWS and DevOps trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve automation, observability, and platform resilience. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a DevOps Engineer working extensively with AWS in production environments. Strong working knowledge of core AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and related networking, security, and storage services. Experience using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to build repeatable, version-controlled environments. Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and infrastructure configuration management. Hands-on experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration in a cloud environment. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and the ELK stack, and a focus on observability. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation and tooling. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git, and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet. Excellent problem-solving ability, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working within cross-functional teams.
