A small accounting firm based in Braamfontein, Johannesburg is seeking to hire an accounting/ bookkeeping intern for a period of 24 months, with possibility of promotion after the internship. The Intern will provide data capturing, accounting, bookkeeping, clerical and administrative support to the Team. Duties and Responsibilities: Capturing transactions from invoices, receipts, bank statements and other source documents on Pastel Compiling/extracting reports and financial statements from Pastel Maintaining filing systems of hard and soft copy documents Performing bank and other reconciliations Drafting annual financial statements and management accounts Calculating tax and filing various company and personal tax returns Shadowing senior members of the Team Requirements: Recent graduate with a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting Skills and Competencies: Intermediate to advanced Excel and Pastel Above average written and verbal communication skills Ability to multi-task and prioritize; Keen to apply accounting knowledge and skills in whatever they do Motivated to produce accurate work Problem solving skills Organizing skills Have an above average aptitude for and not shy of numbers Closing date: 24 November 2025
