About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Technical Engineering Sales Manager to join our team in Johannesburg, with a focus on supporting OEMs and EPC clients. As a seasoned sales professional, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and strengthening customer relationships within the engineering and manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
- Grow new business versus existing account expansion
- Increase profitability and margin improvement
- Manage medium-to-long sales cycles involving engineered or customized products
- Lead and develop a diverse team of internal and external sales professionals
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development plans
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales staff
Requirements
- 3–7 years as a Sales Manager Supervisory OR Role with working experience in an engineering manufacturing company
- Minimum Matric / Grade 12 education
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for frequent travel to customer sites, factories, and project locations
- National Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or relate)
- Business Management / Sales Management qualification advantageous
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma or Degree in Engineering
- Business Management / Sales Management qualification (if applicable)
Salary & Benefits
- Basic salary R40 000 to R60 000 CTC per month
- Commission on top of basic salary
- Discretionary annual performance bonus
- Car allowance/company vehicle
- Fuel card, tools of trade (laptop, phone)
- Pension scheme deducted from net salary
