About the Role
We are seeking experienced Legal Recovery Agents to join our team in Johannesburg. As a key member of our legal recoveries department, you will be responsible for managing legal recoveries across unsecured products, including personal loans, credit cards, and cheque accounts. You will execute effective litigation-aligned recovery strategies to maximise collections and reduce risk exposure. Key Responsibilities
- Manage legal recoveries across unsecured products
- Execute effective litigation-aligned recovery strategies
- Conduct advanced debtor negotiations, including settlement arrangements and payment plan structuring
- Manage PTPs, DebiCheck mandates, and legal follow-ups across multiple mandates
- Utilise inbound, outbound, and non-voice channels to engage debtors effectively
- Perform tracing and skip tracing using advanced tools where required
- Ensure strict compliance with regulatory, legal, and internal governance frameworks
Requirements
- 23 years of experience in a high-pressure, target-driven collections environment
- Demonstrated litigation experience within a legal recoveries context
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end litigation process
- Experience managing unsecured credit products
- Proven ability to negotiate complex repayment arrangements
Qualifications
- Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
