Junior Project Manager (Building Services)
Duties and Responsibilities Project management at clients’ sites – install fire suppression and detection systems in various industries, including mining, industrial, building services, commercial, agricultural Ensure compliance Sound experience with SANS and other applicable standards Full life cycle site implementation and project management, cost control and tracking progress with MS Projects Solution finding for complex environments Interface with clients, sub-contractors, technical teams, suppliers Lots of travel, sometimes to remote sites Desired Experience and Qualifications Relevant Project Management or engineering qualification advantage 3-5 years’ Technical Project Management experience in a similar role of site installations (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil), progress tracking (MS Project) and cost control essential Experience of mechanical or civil engineering design and/or project implementation of solutions on site in building services or mining essential (e.g. HVAC, fire solutions, electrical installations, etc.) Knowledge of compliance audits and applicable standards Knowledge of sprinkler systems highly recommended Ability to work virtually, but also to attend meetings, personal interaction with clients and contractors Own transport, willingness to regularly travel locally and internationally Medically fit to work on mining, construction and industrial sites Must be fully bilingual – Afrikaans and English
