About the Role
The Milling and Storage Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our milling and storage facilities, ensuring efficient production and management of lucerne commodities. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operational management and risk management within an agricultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage production efficiency and implement preventative maintenance strategies to minimize downtime
- Oversee the grading and storage of lucerne commodities
- Motivate and lead local teams to achieve optimal performance
- Develop and maintain relationships with third-party storage suppliers
- Implement effective risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification in Agriculture or Operations Management
- 35 years of operational management experience
- Strong understanding and experience with lucerne as a commodity
- Knowledge of risk management within an agricultural environment
- Experience managing production efficiency and preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- Lucerne grading certificate (advantageous)
