Klerksdorp: Enrolled Nurse (X4 – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Wits PHRU)

About the Role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join our team at the PHRU – Tshepong Hospital, Matlosana, Klerksdorp. As a key member of our research team, you will assist with phlebotomy and other study-related duties, while maintaining a good working relationship with local clinic staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with phlebotomy and laboratory procedures as specified by the protocol
• Maintain a good working relationship with local clinic staff and study coordinator
• Complete case report forms in accordance with study requirements
• Communicate routinely with study coordinator and principal investigator
• Properly file results and other study-related documents

Requirements

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse (SANC)
• 2 years of nursing experience
• Ability to take blood specimens from participants (paediatrics, sputum, and swabs)
• Ability to pay attention to detail and work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in study requirements
• Ability to lead and work independently as well as be part of a multidisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Matric
• Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse (SANC)
• Academic Advance GCP Certificate will be added advantage (if applicable)
