Dispatch Clerk Report to: Operations Seniority Level: Mid-Career (2 – 4 yrs exp) Region: KwaZulu Natal Location: Kokstad Type: – 3 months. This could be longer Purpose of the Role The Dispatch Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate stock and crate movement from production through to the despatch of outbound trucks and the management of return logistics. The role requires accurate, timely, and efficient completion of all despatch documentation and transactional activities to support smooth operations and customer service. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and control stock movement from production to the despatch area Ensure accurate loading and despatch of goods according to delivery schedules Manage crate movements, including issuing, receiving, and reconciling returns Prepare, verify, and process all despatch documentation (delivery notes, load sheets, invoices, etc.) Capture and maintain accurate transactional data on the system Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly, timeously, and filed appropriately Liaise with production, warehouse, and transport teams to resolve discrepancies Perform daily stock and crate reconciliations and investigate variances Ensure compliance with company procedures, food safety standards, and health & safety regulations Support continuous improvement initiatives within the despatch department Education and Qualifications Grade 12 (Matric) Mathematics pass rate of 60% or higher Experience and Training Previous experience working in a despatch or dispatch department FMCG industry experience is advantageous Experience working with JD Edwards (JDE) is advantageous
