About the Role

ZIMCO Group Ltd is seeking an experienced Occupational Health Nurse/Sister to manage our on-site Occupational Health Clinic at our manufacturing plant in Krugersdorp. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing primary healthcare and chronic disease management to our staff, as well as facilitating various medical screenings and wellness programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Primary health care and chronic disease management for staff (less than 50 employees)
• Pre-employment medical screening of new recruitments and exit medical examinations for exiting employees
• Facilitate blood lead sampling every two months for employees exposed to lead, maintaining records for comparison and reference
• Control of clinic inventory (medicines, equipment, testing strips) and follow procurement processes to replenish stock
• Participate in accident investigations and Health & Safety meetings
• Facilitate referrals to the Occupational Medical Practitioner or external health care providers when necessary
• Maintain first aid boxes in accordance with Health & Safety legislation and appointed First Aiders
• Facilitate wellness education and awareness programs
• Conduct audiometric testing as per legislative requirement

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Diploma in Occupational Health
• Registered Nurse with SA Nursing Council
• Dispensing License for Health Care Professionals
• Audiometry Certificate (non-negotiable certifications)
