A client of ours, a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in the renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join their project team in Limpopo. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of a major utility-scale renewable energy project, working on-site for the full construction and commissioning period. Key Responsibilities Oversee and monitor on-site construction activities to ensure adherence to design, quality, safety, and environmental standards Act as the primary site-based technical representative for the client Coordinate daily with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders Manage progress reporting, site inspections, and technical issue resolution Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities Enforce compliance with project specifications, contractual requirements, and HSE protocols Provide regular updates to the project management team Ideal Candidate Profile Strong communication and reporting skills Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with remote project leadership Proactive, detail-oriented, and solution-focused Comfortable working in a high-demand, fast-paced site environment BEng / BTech / BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering field Experience working on IPP or utility-scale renewable energy projects is essential 38 years experience in construction supervision, project coordination, quality control, and contractor oversight Strong understanding of EPC environments, site operations, and project schedules Experience with solar PV, or similar large-scale energy projects will be advantageous Valid drivers license and willingness to be based on-site full-time in Limpopo
