Maintenance Manager – Retirement Village
Minimum Requirements: 5 years as a maintenance manager / supervisor (advantages if worked in a similar environment) (Trade certificate or qualification advantageous) Must have traceable references Mindful of residents on premises 24/7 A professional, proactive, service excellence and customer focused approach. Attention to details Strong team player and excellent people skills Experience and ability to manage/resolve conflict in a mature manner Experience in managing and motivating staff/teams, including knowledge of IR processes The ability to operate under pressure and with little supervision, including in the case of emergencies Proficiency in written and spoken English Computer literacy Microsoft tools (notably Excel, Word & Outlook) Availability for 24 Hour call out on rotation when necessary Must have an unendorsed drivers licence (PDP would be advantageous) Experience in training of maintenance staff On site living may be required Job Responsibilities: ( Not Limited to) Good experience in fundamental, first-line building-, facilities- vehicle, plant & equipment and grounds/roads maintenance (including planned maintenance and breakdown/emergency maintenance) In-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience in first-line plumbing and electrical and general building maintenance Experience in: maintenance department management and related administration; end-to-end maintenance department processes maintenance budgeting, maintenance costing and budget/cost control; safety and health practices and standards in a general maintenance environment; basic maintenance training; small scale building renovation; basic project management
