Reservations Manager | Private Game Reserve | Western Cape

Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a highly organized and guest-focused Reservations Manager for a renowned private game reserve located in the Western Cape. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong background in luxury hospitality reservations and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Hospitality, Tourism, or related field preferred

• Minimum 35 years of reservations experience in the luxury hospitality or lodge industry

• Previous experience in a reservations management role will be highly advantageous

• Proficiency in reservations systems (e.g., Opera, ResRequest, PAN, Apex, etc.)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team

• A customer-centric approach with excellent problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full reservations process for the property

• Supervise and support the reservations team to ensure smooth daily operations

• Ensure all bookings are captured accurately and efficiently in the system

• Maintain close relationships with guests, travel agents, and DMC partners

• Monitor room availability, allocations, and booking trends to optimize occupancy

• Prepare regular reports on reservations, occupancy forecasts, and booking patterns

• Handle guest and agent inquiries promptly and professionally

• Ensure that all guest correspondence is handled in line with brand standards

• Work collaboratively with the sales and operations teams to support group bookings, promotions, and special offers

• Train and develop team members to maintain high service and accuracy standards

• Constantly seek to improve reservation procedures, systems, and guest experience touchpoints
