About the Role
Network Finance, a well-established organisation in the telecommunications and fibre infrastructure space, is seeking a skilled Telekomms Network Planner – Fibre to support projects from initial site survey through to final network handover. This practical, delivery-focused role combines site work, technical planning, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site surveys of telecom routes and existing infrastructure
- Take measurements, open and inspect manholes, and assess usable infrastructure
- Produce complete planning packs including civil layouts, fibre floating plans, and splicing diagrams
- Create wayleave drawings for council submissions
- Compile and verify as-built documentation after construction
- Review as-built information from site teams to ensure accuracy
- Capture and validate network data on OSP Insight
- Manage queries and rejections between As-Build and Quality teams
- Support splicing teams with correct fibre allocations
- Assist with fault reference allocation where required
Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in fibre network planning
- Solid understanding of fibre infrastructure, OSP planning, and as-built processes
- Strong practical experience conducting site surveys
- Confident using Microsoft Visio for planning and drawings
- Experience working with as-built documentation and quality checks
- Exposure to OSP Insight will be highly advantageous
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (if applicable)
- Matric certification (if applicable)
