About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hand Therapist to join our team in New Zealand. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality service to patients, referrers, and funders, while ensuring that all patient care is delivered with compassion, empathy, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a high quality service that meets the needs of patients, referrers and funders
  • Complete patient assessments in line with policies and procedures
  • Develop, review and modify treatment plans as patient conditions change
  • Use hand therapy resources efficiently and effectively
  • Seek advice and collaborate with other hand therapists when required
  • Monitor patient treatment numbers and progress
  • Submit timely requests for further treatment approvals such as ACC 32s
  • Ensure patients are informed of any surcharges or additional charges

Requirements

  • Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist registered with the relevant New Zealand Board
  • Current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Member of the relevant professional body such as PNZ or OTNZ-WNA
  • Member of or willingness to join Hand Therapy New Zealand
  • Experience in a similar role, ideally with exposure to upper limb conditions

Qualifications

  • Qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist registered with the relevant New Zealand Board
