Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Engineer to join our fast-growing agriculture startup. The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our data infrastructure, building ETL pipelines, and creating scalable data solutions to support business objectives. Working within a cross-functional team of engineers, business stakeholders, and data scientists, you will help transform raw data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

• Key Responsibilities
• Use appropriate data science and engineering tools to solve business problems and support data-driven decision-making.
• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met and deliverables are aligned with business needs.
• Collaborate with engineers and business teams to understand project goals, interpret users intent, and translate requirements into data solutions.
• Translate complex datasets into informative reports and visualizations to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems and pipelines.
• Continuously optimize data pipelines, models, and processes to enable efficient analytics and reporting.
• Support the development of scalable data warehouses and data storage solutions.
• Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and implementing data solutions, ETL pipelines, and data warehouses.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other data engineering tools; experience with BI tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate work.
• Experience working in agile development environments is advantageous.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a bonus.
• A proactive, adaptable mindset with eagerness to learn in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Must be able to develop in Mendex.
