Job Description

Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of our business, including daily posting and sending of invoices and credit notes.

Responsibilities:
Capture and reconcile bank statements
Send client ledgers and follow up on outstanding payments
Process all creditor invoices and payments
Manage gas transactions, orders, profiles, shopfills, and swaps
Place and coordinate client orders via email and WhatsApp
Prepare weekly sales reports and monthly price updates
File and handle general client and management queries
Coordinate fuel loads and deliveries, preparing documentation
Capture fuel control data and post debit card transactions
Assist with debtors and credit age analysis
Reconcile fuel deliveries with supplier invoices
Complete month-end journals and bank reconciliations

We are looking for a bookkeeper who possesses the following technical competencies:
Daily posting and sending of invoices and credit notes
Capturing and reconciling bank statements
Managing gas transactions, orders, profiles, shopfills, and swaps
Placing and coordinating client orders via email and WhatsApp
Preparing weekly sales reports and monthly price updates
Filing and handling general client and management queries
Coordinating fuel loads and deliveries, preparing documentation

Reconciling fuel deliveries with supplier invoices
Completing month-end journals and bank reconciliations
